Dave & Jacky Bolsover are a husband & wife team qualified as
6th Dan senior instructors to teach karate. Their passion for the art
is total and they are are dedicated to the students training at the
clubs, taking great pride and pleasure in seeing everyone progress and
reach their goals.
Makenki Karate began with Dave & Jackie opening the first club in
September 2003. Since then Makenki has developed & grown into a
respected karate organisation
that has maintained its morals and personal connections with all of our
members, and built up strong relationships with many outside links and
organisations.
In addition to that, each club has a host of male & female black
belt assistant instructors.
To keep the high standards of karate, as well as teaching, all
instructors regularly do their own personal
physical training and regularly meet to ensure our teaching standards
are kept at the highest level.
On top of all that, all instructors have to meet & maintain certain
criteria before they can be qualified to teach.
Guidelines are set out below.
*Must be minimum black belt level & be approved and certified with
instructor status
*Must have a current enhanced CRB certificate
*Must have a current emergency first aid certificate
*Must have instructor indemnity insurance
*Must be up to date with child protection policies
*When you choose our clubs for your training, you can be assured that
you will learn a true
traditional karate style and be taught by instructors who have
proven and continues to prove their ability to teach
effectively, safely & responsibly.
